“Ecos” utiliza el lenguaje del cine fantástico para abordar una de las enfermedades más devastadoras de nuestro tiempo: el Alzheimer, que afecta actualmente a más de 57 millones de personas en el mundo. A través del terror atmosférico y la pérdida progresiva de la memoria, el cortometraje transforma la disolución de la identidad en una experiencia inquietante y emocional.
Lejos del drama convencional, el proyecto conecta con la sensibilidad del público del cine fantástico conectando tensión psicológica, imaginería sobrenatural y una reflexión profundamente humana: el verdadero horror no es morir, sino dejar de existir en la memoria de los demás... y en la propia.
“Ecos” employs the language of fantastic cinema to address one of the most devastating diseases of our time: Alzheimer’s, which currently affects over 57 million people worldwide. Through atmospheric horror and the progressive loss of memory, the short film transforms the dissolution of identity into a haunting, emotional experience.
Far removed from conventional drama, the project resonates with the sensibilities of the fantastic cinema audience by blending psychological tension and supernatural imagery with a deeply human reflection: true horror lies not in dying, but in ceasing to exist in the memories of others—and in one’s own.

Sinopsis
Synopsis
Una niña de once años entra en el cementerio para recuperar el collar perdido de su abuela, pero al encontrar una tumba con su propio nombre fechada en 1936, comienza a oír los ecos de sus vidas futuras, mientras sus recuerdos se desvanecen y la fecha de su muerte avanza inexorablemente hacia el presente.
An eleven-year-old girl enters the cemetery to retrieve her grandmother's lost necklace, but upon finding a grave bearing her own name and the date 1936, she begins to hear echoes of her future lives—even as her memories fade and the date of her death inexorably advances toward the present.

Alba
Alba tiene once años y una personalidad despierta, valiente y profundamente sensible. Inteligente, enérgica y muy unida a su abuela, percibe con intuición infantil que algo empieza a quebrarse en ella, aunque todavía no pueda comprenderlo del todo. Su necesidad de protegerla la impulsa a regresar sola al cementerio para recuperar el collar perdido.
Alba is eleven years old and possesses a spirited, brave, and deeply sensitive personality. Intelligent, energetic, and very close to her grandmother, she senses with a child's intuition that something is beginning to fracture within her, even if she cannot yet fully grasp it. Her need to protect her grandmother drives her to return to the cemetery alone to retrieve the lost necklace.
La Abuela
Mantiene con Alba una relación íntima basada en el afecto y la dependencia emocional. Aunque todavía conserva momentos de lucidez, pequeños vacíos comienzan a alterar su memoria y su percepción de la realidad.
He maintains an intimate relationship with Alba based on affection and emotional dependency. Although he still has moments of lucidity, small gaps are beginning to alter his memory and his perception of reality.
